The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is now accepting applications through the state’s $6 million Alternative Fuel Incentive Grant program (AFIG) for fuel or fuel-saving projects throughout the state. Successful projects will be market-driven, create jobs, and spur economic development within the state.

Sunoco purchased the Eagle Point Refinery in January 2004 from El Paso Corporation. Sunoco will shift current Eagle Point production to its two nearby refineries in Marcus Hook and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which will now operate at higher capacity utilization.

In September 2004 the California Air Resources Board (ARB) passed regulations to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) from new passenger vehicles starting in 2009. These regulations were authorized by the 2002 legislation Assembly Bill 1493 (Pavley). California is preserving its right to establish more stringent standards in the future.
