General Motors discussed its future plans in China during a press conference in conjunction with the start of Auto Shanghai 2013. With more new models, the expansion of its local manufacturing capability and a growing dealer network, GM expects to increase Cadillac sales from 30,000 units last year to 100,000 units in 2015.

The new, downsized General Motors Company emerged from bankruptcy Friday morning. The four brands will offer a total of 34 nameplates by 2010, compared to old GM’s total of 48 in 2008 and 63 in 2004. In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China.
