In 2004, TM4 developed and produced a four-wheel drivetrain system for a technology demonstrator vehicle Peugeot Quark. In 2006, TM4 also developed wheel motors for the concept car Citroen C-Metisse. This new powertrain will be designed and manufactured at TM4’s headquarters in Boucherville, Québec.

Sanyo has been supplying nickel-metal hydride batteries for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) to Honda and Ford since 2004. Sanyo sees this new partnership as a way to further enhance its relationship with Suzuki and further appeal its strengths in next-generation battery technology for automobiles.
