I had surmised this in my 2002 car design thesis [link] even before anyone was talking about plug in series hybrids. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart. needs to have an indigenous automobile industry, and not merely "transplants". Oh, and it looks wayyyyy cooler than the Volt.
