GM will have full lines electric pickups for Chevrolet and GMC brands. GM started production of its first electric pickup, the GMC Hummer EV, just before Christmas, and said customer deliveries of the 2022 model would start, although no further news announcements have come out. Since the introduction of its first-generation fuel cell vehicle, the FCX, in 2002, Honda has made significant technological advancements in fuel cell vehicle operation in both hot and sub-freezing weather while meeting customer expectations and safety regulations. The first fuel cell vehicle leased to an individual customer (July 2005).

Honda beat everybody to the production gasoline-electric hybrid game in the United States, putting the Insight in showrooms in 1999. unveiled the planned production model of its all-new fuel cell vehicle (FCV), called Clarity Fuel Cell, at the 44 th Tokyo Motor Show 2015. For the US, with its different certification methodologies, Honda anticipates a range of more than 300 miles. Honda will begin lease sales in Japan of this all-new Clarity Fuel Cell in March 2016.

Four were announced in April, and all should be operational by the end of 2014. UPS began using LNG tractors in its delivery fleet in 2002. By 2017, our goal is to reach one billion miles driven by our alternative fuel and advanced technology fleet. Building these fueling stations is a solid future investment for UPS.

The Electrification Coalition released two case studies outlining how two cities— Houston, Texas and Loveland, Colorado —are saving money by using electric vehicles (EVs) in their vehicle fleets. Loveland is now aiming to convert all of its light-duty fleet vehicles that work within a close distance of the city to EVs.
