A team from Instituto Motori in Italy has analyzed the spray behaviors of first-generation (soybean- and rapeseed-biodiesel) and second-generation (gas-to-liquids) biofuels in a diesel engine, both neat (100%) and in a 50% blend with commercial diesel. The reference fuel was commercial diesel.

Not surprisingly, meat consumption has changed little in highly carnivorous countries, including Canada, Italy, and the United Kingdom, and it has declined a bit in Denmark, France, and Germany.
