Audi e-tron GT & RS e-tron GT electric cars launched in India

Audi a German luxury carmaker has launched the Audi e-tron GT and the RS e-tron GT in India. The Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT are now on sale in India. The e-tron GT is priced at Rs 1.80 crore and the RS e-tron GT has priced at Rs 2.05 crore (both prices are ex-showroom). The deliveries of these new electric vehicles will be begun by January 2022.

The crossover e-tron GT four-door coupe is being shipped to India in completely built-up (CBU) form and it is the most expensive Audis on sale in India. The GT models join the existing Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback models in India.

Features

The Audi e-tron GT and the RS e-tron GT are available in nine exterior colours such as Ibis white, Ascari blue, Daytona grey, Floret silver, Kemora grey, Mythos black, Suzuka grey, Tactics green and Tango red.

The e-tron GT gets Audi’s virtual cockpit and MMI touch displays 12.3 inch and 10.1-inch screens respectively. It gets a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, matrix LED headlights, lane departure warning system and cruise control and park assist plus package with 360-degree cameras. Apart from this, the Audi has also launched control, carbon-ceramic brakes, adaptive air suspension, a carbon-fibre roof (for weight savings of around 12 kg), and all-wheel steering.

Specifications

The Audi e-tron GT has a power of 390 kW and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in a superfast 4.1 seconds. Whereas 475 kW RS e-tron GT achieves the same feat in mere 3.3 seconds. The standard e-tron GT has up to 475 hp and 630 Nm of torque while the sportier RS e-tron GT has 598 hp and 830 Nm of torque. The Audi RS e-tron GT provides a range 401-481 km and the Audi e-tron GT gives 388-500 km.

It can be charged at up to 270 kW using a DC fast-charger at up to 270 kW using a DC fast-charger that chargers up to 80 per cent in just 22 minutes. With the help of the 11 kW AC charger the same level of charge can get in nine hours and 30 minutes, and with a 22 kW AC charger, it takes five hours and 15 minutes.

For the charging infrastructure, the Audi India dealerships will be equipped with a 50 kW fast charger and will also install over 100 chargers in 75 cities in the country. The e-tron GT comes with a two-year warranty and a battery warranty of eight years or 1,60,000 km.
