Geological Society: Acidifying oceans spell marine biological meltdown “by end of century”
That’s the Geological Society of London, a bunch of egghead Brits who did a big study of the Mediterranean Sea and here’s Joe Romm’s dot-connecting sub headline about what they found:
Co-author: “Unless we curb carbon emissions we risk mass extinctions, degrading coastal waters and encouraging outbreaks of toxic jellyfish and algae.”
More and more CO2 emissions mean more and more ocean acidification and more and more dead zones and dead oceans.
