Amazon India to deploy Mahindra Electric Treo Zor for its deliveries

A world-famous multinational company Amazon, its Indian unit has announced that it will deploy around 100 electric three-wheeler vehicles from Mahindra Electric in seven cities across the country. Read further to know more about Amazon India deploying Mahindra’s electric three-wheelers. 

This move is part of Amazon target to deploy 10,000 electric vehicles in its fleet of delivery vehicles by 2025, which the company had announced last year.

Amazon India in a statement said that Amazon’s electric three-wheeler “Treo Zor” has been deployed in many major metro cities like Bengaluru, New Delhi and Hyderabad.

Mahindra Treo Zor 

Mahindra Electric has launched an electric 3-wheeler cargo model Treo Zor under its existing line of three-wheeler EVs. The price of the new vehicles starts at Rs 2.73 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

It is available in 3 variants as Pickup, Delivery, and Flat Bed. It offers higher savings of more than Rs 60,000 every year compared to diesel cargo three-wheelers due to its low maintenance cost. Its running cost is just 40 paise for each km. Treo Zor comes with a standard warranty of 3 years/80,000 km.

It is equipped with an 8kW battery and can produce a torque of 42 Nm. It can carry a maximum payload of 550 kg. The Treo Zor comes with an advanced IP67-rated motor that offers protection from dust and water. It can be charged with a 15AMP socket.
