Porsche is planning to set up its own fast-charging stations offering a premium charging experience along Europe’s most important routes. As a pilot site, the first Porsche Charging Lounge has opened outside Bingen am Rhein. Further Porsche Charging Lounges are currently planned for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Just a few months after the launch, Porsche is expanding its charging service for plug-in and electric vehicles ( earlier post ) by five countries and additional functions. A new feature offered by the Porsche Charging Service is a rating function. In Germany, the fee for using the Porsche Charging Service is €2.50 (US$2.86) per month.

On the road to putting its first electric car into production, Porsche ran the Taycan for 24 hours straight at Italy's Nardo test circuit. Covering 2,128 miles around the circuit in a day carried the car about the distance from Los Angeles to Atlanta.
