I''m new to the ev world but my idea was to eleminate the batteries.start with a vw beetle, put a 50 hp or more electric motor kit (sold for 3k to 7.5k). Now instead of batteries arrange the front end to fit a two stroke engine (two strokes are easiest to convert to steam) running a generator head with enough current to power the 50 hp motor.

There will be exceptions, of course, but for most families there will be 2 major options: Drive hybrids or have 2 cars. What I ended up explaining was that pure EVs are going to require an acceptance of different driving habits from most drivers. Both of these options will work for most people.

Currently our team is taking apart a 2002 Honda Odyssey Mini-van and we are converting it into an ALL ELECTRIC not just a HYBRID. There is a tremendous community that has to rely on Mini-vans for transportation and would also give an answer to the excuse of "oh, I don't want an Electric car because they are all small automobiles."

Sometime in the future, I plan on making this car an electric-electric hybrid. I have driven in heavy rain, and splashed through a few big puddles. I have avoided pressure-washing and car-washes, just because its better to be safe than sorry. What does that mean?
