Here's a very solid Mercedes-Benz W123 oil-burner that now languishes in a self-service boneyard in Phoenix, Arizona. Ordinary upholstery would have been nuked into powder by four decades in the climate of San Diego and Phoenix. In the course of my junkyard adventures , I've found quite a few vehicles that met such a fate.

Phoenix Motors AltairNano powered SUV was the other full BEV. Honda with the remaining CNG vehicle from a major and two hydrogen fuel cell cars. Ed Begley is representing Phoenix's BEV, but spoke optimistically of a clean hydrogen future. A real car, by any measure. I hope to find out more tomorrow. A few bio-cars were there.
