Car of the decade
Now that was easy I've been reading through some of the Best of 2000 car articles in various auto magazines, so I decided to do my own version. would have liked to fit the Ford Fusion hybrid and the Honda Insight into this piece as serious contenders to the Car of the Decade, but how could I?

Toyota Considering Reviving MR2 Hybrid to Compete With Honda CR-Z
Though Toyota has not confirmed anything officially, Japan's Best Car magazine is reporting that the company plans to reintroduce the Toyota MR2 as a hybrid model called the MR-S to compete with Honda's upcoming CR-Z hybrid. As Best Car reports, the vehicle will go on sale sometime after the CR-Z is released in 2010.

Honda to introduce hybrid sports cars?
Place this one firmly in the ‘rumour mill’ for now, but reports are suggesting that Honda may soon add two hybrid sports cars to its fleet. It would be Honda’s first direct injected production engine. It already has the Civic and Insight available in the USA and Europe, and Japan will soon have a Fit hybrid as well.

Hybrids still just too expensive?
One of the magazines had a cover story on Ford and a bunch of type on the Fusion hybrid. Fortunately, Honda is going to challenge the hybrid price threshold when the Insight goes on sale this Spring. Yet, even if Honda can pull the MSRP under $20,000, is that still too expensive for average buyers on a car this size?
