Production of the 2014 model year Prius Plug-in begins in October with pricing taking effect when these models arrive in showrooms in November.The Prius Plug-in qualifies for a Federal Tax Credit of up to $2,500 in addition to the State of California’s Clean Vehicle Rebate Program (CVRP) which offers a $1,500 rebate.

The MSRP for the LEAF starts at $32,780; the full Federal tax credit of $7,500 brings that down to $25,280. In January 2011 , LEAF will debut in Texas and Hawaii. In California, the LEAF is eligible for an up to $5,000 CVRP rebate, bringing the price down to close to $20,000.
