The California Energy Commission approved a first-in-the-nation energy efficiency standard that will reduce wasted energy by battery chargers commonly used to power cell phones, laptop computers, power tools, and other devices. Energy consumed to charge batteries is increasing in California.

They aren’t aware that while they want 300-400 miles of range, that for most people that is overkill and a waste for 95%-98% of their driving trips.

To deal with this major special waste problem has to my knowledge never ever been brought to the attention of the readers of any paper around the world. We should have built more Nuclear power plants and created a nuclear waste recycling program. Commendation, absolutely, but GM needs to make sure their company continues on to make sure that money doesnt just go to waste. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart.
