Indianapolis based battery market EnerDel has secured a huge coup as it announced that is has signed a letter of intent to power the Fisker Karma. The Karma, set to be the standard bearer for plug-in hybrid vehicles, is to be launched in June 2010.

The Fisker Karma Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) ( earlier post ) will make its public driving debut during the Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races on 15 August, 19 months after being unveiled as a concept car. It will be the first time a PHEV has appeared on track at the event. The Fisker Karma PHEV is an extended range electric vehicle.
