Shell opens hydrogen filling station
The second hydrogen filling station in the greater New York City area is now open for business with a third due to open later this month and one already operating there for a year. The third station will be located in the Bronx and has been developed with the New York City Department of Sanitation.

Mascoma Begins Cellulosic Ethanol Production in New York

GE to Open Sodium-Metal Halide Battery Plant in New York

New York City Department of Sanitation Testing Four Different Hybrid Trucks
The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) will be testing in daily operation three different types of hybrid refuse collection trucks and a hybrid rack truck. Energy storage is a 288 cell ultracapacitor system. A 2 kWh Li-ion pack provides energy storage. The TerraPro hybrid has a rear-loading refuse packer body.
