Comprehensive Electric Car List (January 2021 Update)

With a new year comes a fresh new update to the Comprehensive Electric Car List. This latest update brings the most models ever added. In fact, the Available and Future Electric Car List has now grown to over 120 models.

In just 2021, there will be over 10 new electric vehicles (EVs). Popular models include the Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, Mustang Mach-E, and Volkswagen ID.4. These EVs will boast ranges of over 250 miles, DC Fast Charging under 30 minutes, and vehicle segments from crossovers to trucks.

Speaking of the latter, 2021 will mark the first time there will be an electric truck for the mass market. Starting with the Cybertruck and R1T, there will soon be over eight electric trucks for the North American market. The most recent electric truck reveal was the GMC Hummer EV.

Looking forward, manufacturers like GM, Volkswagen, Volvo, Hyundai, and Kia all have bold EV plans. Each of these car makers look to take a page from the leader, Tesla.

Nevertheless, manufacturers must increase their EV efforts to keep up. In addition, there are also various government regulations that require car makers to produce EVs. The largest state in the U.S., California, has required manufacturers to sell only EVs by the year 2035.

If car makers wish to sell vehicles in the state, they must begin their rollout of their electric fleet as soon as possible. It is safe to say sooner or later California will not be alone with their EV requirements.

Back to the Comprehensive Electric Car List, notable updates include updates on Rivian R1T and R1S pricing, addition of new GMC, Chevy, and Cadillac EVs, and addition of the long-awaited Apple electric car

Speaking of the latter, it has long been rumored that Apple would sell and EV. Recently, Apple has confirmed this rumor, however, details remain scarce. It is still unknown what car segment the vehicle will be or if Apple will even build the car themselves.

Nevertheless, it has been added to the Comprehensive Electric Car List and we will continue to track updates as they come along.
