'Tesla Motors opened its first Supercharger station in Switzerland today; the Lully station is about 50 km (31 miles) northeast of Geneva on the A1 motorway. With more Supercharger stations opening soon in Germany and Austria, Model S owners will be able to drive through Germany to Switzerland and Austria this winter, Tesla said. Superchargers provide up to 120 kW of DC power directly to the Model S battery using special cables that bypass the onboard charging equipment.
