Our writer Ben Rich was able to take a test ride on the Harley-Davidson Livewire electric motorcycle concept. The company's been touring 40 Livewires around the country to get rider reactions. Ben tells us what this radical new ride is really like on the road.

Last month, Nissan announced that a replacement battery pack for its Leaf electric car would cost just $5,500. This week, the company admitted to Green Car Reports that it loses money on every pack it sells for that price.

Tesla has halted assembly of its Model S electric sedan for two weeks--but for good reasons. It's preparing the production line to add assembly of its upcoming Model X electric crossover utility vehicle, which goes into volume production next year.
