'Lotus F1 Team and Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains announced a long-term supply agreement which will see Lotus F1 Team utilizing the Mercedes-Benz hybrid Power Unit ( earlier post ) from the start of the 2015 season until the end of the current Power Unit generation. Under the terms of the agreement, Lotus F1 Team will be supplied with Mercedes-Benz Power Units by Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) based in Brixworth, UK.

'EPA released the latest edition of its annual report on trends in CO 2 emissions, fuel economy and powertrain technology for new personal vehicles in the US. Among the top-level findings was that Model year 2013 vehicles achieved an average of 24.1 mpg (9.76 l/100 km)—a 0.5 mpg increase over the previous year and an increase of nearly 5 mpg since 2004.
