German alliance develops new active matrix LED headlights; 1,024 individually controllable light points

A German research alliance has developed the basis for smart, high-resolution active matrix LED headlights, which takes adaptive forward lighting to a new dimension. A demonstration model was developed by overall project manager Osram in collaboration with the project partners Daimler, Fraunhofer, Hella and Infineon. Both headlights contain three LED light sources, each with 1,024 individually controllable light points.

Uno-X Hydrogen awarded $2.45M grant for H2 production facility and two fueling stations in Bergen

Uno-X Hydrogen AS has been awarded a grant of NOK 19.8 million (US$2.45 million) from the Norwegian public enterprise Enova SF for an expansion of the Norwegian hydrogen network with one hydrogen production facility and two hydrogen fueling stations in Bergen. Clearpath Robotics raises $30M to expand indoor self-driving vehicle market

Clearpath Robotics, a provider of self-driving vehicle solutions, completed a US$30-million investment led by iNovia Capital with participation from Caterpillar Ventures, GE Ventures, Eclipse Ventures, RRE Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank. Clearpath will use the funding to grow the company’s industrial division, OTTO Motors , launched in 2015 to focus on self-driving vehicles for material transport inside manufacturing and warehouse operations.
