Photo: PSNH/Flickr Both of New Hampshire’s coal plants are shutting, making New England the second coal-free region in the US. That’s following a settlement between Sierra Club, The Conservation Law Foundation, EPA, and Granite Shore Power. That will make New Hampshire the 16th coal-free state.

While in EV Mode, the Prius Plug-in is rated by the EPA to drive up to 11 miles. In hybrid mode, it has an EPA combined mileage rating of 50 mpg. This means that when the EV Mode is depleted, Prius Plug-in still obtains the same estimated fuel economy rating as Prius Liftback.

With our current economy, I guess it’s no longer a secret that politicians and executives running our country are not very good at simple math. The Roadster can go 244 miles EPA. Also hopefully by the end of 2011 (when the Model S car is due) our economy has recovered somewhat. It gets worse in a larger vehicle.
