It turns out that they now actually equal the fuel economy of larger motorcycles--which is pretty amazing for a four-seat vehicle weighing more than a ton. Especially since the motorcycles returning comparable gas-mileage figures weigh about one-fifth as much. How are fuel-efficient are some of today's smaller cars?

A comparable SUV, such as a 2023 Ford Explorer AWD with the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and an EPA highway rating of 26 miles per gallon, would have used 69 gallons of gasoline. In 1966, Honda’s marketing slogan for its motorcycles was: “You meet the nicest people on a Honda.” All seem perfectly comfortable in the shared experience.

Just like traditional four-wheeled electric vehicles, electric motorcycles are quieter, smoother and more comfortable. Electric motorcycles of today offer riders the choice to ride electric in style.
