Following enormous investments into electric vehicles, Hertz has launched its first planned electrified fleet in Denver, Colorado. The buses are expected to be delivered to Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) later this year. The new Denver RTD buses will operate on the 16 th Street Mall in downtown Denver. The lithium-ion batteries recover kinetic energy from the bus brakes via a regenerative braking system to extend the range.

Bye Aerospace’s electric Sun Flyer 2 successfully completed the first official flight test with a Siemens electric propulsion motor 8 February at Centennial Airport, south of Denver, Colo. SP70D motor with a 90 kW peak rating (120 HP), and a continuous power setting of up to 70 kW (94 HP). Siemens SP70D motor.

At the 8 th US-China Energy Efficiency Forum in Denver, Foton Motor and Cummins signed a Memorandum of Green Power and Smart Truck Cooperation Development. Under the MoU, Foton Motor and Cummins will launch an in-depth cooperation to boost energy-saving, low-carbon and green development.
