3M and China-based Hunan Reshine New Material Company, Ltd have entered into a patent license agreement for 3M’s nickel, manganese and cobalt (NMC) cathode technology for lithium-ion batteries. Recently, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued an Ex Parte Reexamination Certificate for US Patent 7,078,128.
