My brand new silver all-electric Tesla Roadster sportscar (#23) arrived by truck in Los Angeles yesterday. Shrouded in plastic and tucked into the back of a semi with three other Tesla’s, it waited to be rolled onto the streets of Los Angeles. It’s alive! But this week takes me right back to car heaven.

Several after-market companies have done PHEV conversions of the Ford Escape hybrid and one has done a retrofit of the F-150 pickup -- see Where PHEVs Are and ICE-Conversions.) Plans Saturn Vue PHEV-10. Aims to get Saturn Vue on road in 2010; no production goal. Has shown some concept fuel-cell PHEVs. Bloomberg News ).

April 18, 2009 1:40 am Link I drive a Saturn SL1 that has over 300K miles on it. Then they are driving by electric car conversions every day and not seeing them. How about using a competition sailplane for comparison, instead? Or if you don’t want to go into details, just compare the Volt to the Aptera :-) — James 15.
