Our Governor already gets this and has been acting before Copenhagen to show the way forward.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Ford Escape PHEV-40 around 2012. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009. todays answer is "Yes -- but not yet." Batteries not ready.
