AMP will use the Remy HVH250 electric motors in their custom electric vehicle conversions. The first two vehicles available for AMP conversions are the GM Saturn Sky and the GM Pontiac Solstice. By comparison, a full hybrid application yielded only a 5 °C difference between the two motor technologies over the same drive cycle.

The comparison keeps being raised, though studies are conclusive: The "well-to-wheel" emissions of electric vehicles are lower than those from gasoline internal combustion vehicles. Many more heavy-duty vehicle conversions (including three recycling dump-trucks that will run in "silent" mode for pickups) are in progress.

van Wijk, a former Methanex executive, formed Saturn Methanol which subsequently built Titan Methanol, a 2,500 tonne per day methanol production facility in Trinidad, and began Atlas Methanol, also in Trinidad. van Wijk sold Saturn to Methanex in 2000 due to funding issues.
