With V2H, an EV’s battery can keep the lights on , the refrigerator running, and devices charged for up to three days in the event of a blackout. What’s more, it’s expected that other states will follow California’s lead in matters of climate protection and EV adoption.

Rolls-Royce’s tests of its first mtu fuel cell demonstrator have shown that the system can provide uninterruptible power in the event of a blackout. This project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.

Alstom held a world premiere event on Sunday celebrating its Coradia iLint hydrogen fuel cell train ( earlier post ) rolling into service in Lower Saxony, Germany. From today onwards, two such trains will enter commercial service according to a fixed timetable.

The changes were primarily due to the addition of the plan to produce electric vehicle battery cells on-site.
