Porsche is planning to set up its own fast-charging stations offering a premium charging experience along Europe’s most important routes. As a pilot site, the first Porsche Charging Lounge has opened outside Bingen am Rhein. By the start of next year, 400 kW per charging point should be possible.

Porsche is researching high-performance batteries with silicon instead of graphite anodes in order to achieve an even higher energy density and better fast-charging capability. Porsche is also planning its own fast-charging stations along the most important European major highways and motorways.

Audi and Porsche are conducting a recall of 240-volt Level 2 AC charging cables for EVs and plug-in hybrids. Porsche is recalling 41,345. The recall covers 93,196 Audi vehicles in the U.S.

Porsche Japan and Audi Japan are forming a Premium Charging Alliance business partnership to expand the 150kW rapid charging station network across Japan. Rapid charging stations run by both companies will be available to both Porsche and Audi owners starting 1 July 2022.

Porsche is acquiring a majority stake in the e-bike manufacturer Greyp Bikes. The sports car manufacturer’s venture capital arm, Porsche Ventures, has held a stake of around 10% in the Croatian company since 2018. What’s more, Porsche is continuing its long-standing and successful partnership with Rotwild. Greyp e-SUV model.

Porsche unveiled its latest concept study, the two-seat Mission X. This type of door was previously used on the legendary Porsche 917 racing car. Another eye-catcher is the light signature: for the Mission X, the designers have reinterpreted the characteristic Porsche four-point graphic.

Porsche Leipzig is expanding the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in central Germany with a new charging park called Porsche Turbo Charging.
