Toyota Shows Surfrider Camry Hybrid CNG, Two Modified Prius Hybrids at SEMA

Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) USA has partnered with the Surfrider Foundation to create a specially modified Camry Hybrid fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG). The CNG system in the Surfrider Camry hybrid was built by Metal Crafters of Fountain Valley, Calif.; Metal Crafters also built the CNG Camry Hybrid concept in 2008.

They may be class leaders in their respective segments of the market, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement with both the Toyota Prius and the Camry Hybrid. It went on display alongside two modified Prius hybrids in the Environmental Lifestyle Zone of the show.
