Why not just go online and buy a golf cart? Most are lead acid powered, but they are cheaper than the BYD units, and provide about as much safety in a frontal and side impact collision according to various golfers' institutes. for the BYD base model, the golf cart is prolly faster.

Oh, and it looks wayyyyy cooler than the Volt. GM cant do it but a 15 year old chinese car company can.now thats funny!
