According to reports in The Boston Globe , a number of local officials have been reluctant to buy hybrid cars due to their expense or because they don’t yet have a strong track record for reliability and continued fuel savings. Meanwhile, Concord, Framingham and Marlborough officials have applied for government reimbursements.
