The BMW Group is stepping up its activities in the field of sustainability, becoming the first automotive manufacturer worldwide to equip its cars with tires using certified sustainable natural rubber and rayon, a wood-based material used to strengthen the tires. The BMW iX for release later this year will also feature FSC-certified wood.

BMW and Nissan partner to deploy dual fast chargers across the US

BMW and Nissan are partnering to offer public DC Fast charging at 120 locations across 19 states in an effort to support Nissan LEAF and BMW i3 customers and to promote increased adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) nationwide. Additionally, these chargers are compatible with the Nissan EZ-Charge cards.

BMW, INRIX developing on-street parking prediction system

The BMW Group has been researching solutions to take the stress out of parking and to reduce the time spent locating a vacant space since 2011.
