Lease deals are now available on the Subaru XV. The compact crossover now features an e-Boxer hybrid engine and all-wheel-drive capability.

Subaru XV e-Boxer lead

The exterior of the XV e-Boxer has received a variety of upgrades including a new front grille design with active shutter, and low-profile roof rails for a more aerodynamic design. Other discreet upgrades include a new fog lamp bezel as well as the inclusion of an e-Boxer badge to the wings and tailgate.

Combining a 2.0-litre petrol engine with an electric motor allows for pure-electric driving at speeds of up to 25mph.

The new technology used in the XV e-Boxer is arranged in a symmetrical layout. This sees the heavy petrol engine placed near the vehicle's centre of gravity, while the battery is positioned above the rear axle in the boot. This plants the car on the road giving noticeable handling improvements and maintaining Subaru’s unique balanced weight distribution.

Subaru XV e-Boxer rear

Combining impressive traction with a 1270kg towing capacity, the XV offers 220mm of ground clearance and also features permanent all-wheel drive as standard. This is in addition to ‘X-Mode’ which can be used to tackle the most extreme weather and road conditions.

Another unique feature is EyeSight driver assist technology. This uses two stereo cameras which are mounted either side of the rear-view mirror and monitors for hazards up to 110 metres ahead. Others safety features include adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane sway and departure warning, as well as lane-keep assist.

Rear Vehicle Detection also offers three main functions to improve visibility and to help minimise common causes for accidents such as blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert.

Subaru XV e-Boxer interior

On the inside, XV e-Boxer offers an 8in touchscreen infotainment unit. This includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity. Dual-zone air-conditioning, reversing camera and heated seats also feature as standard.

Customers can upgrade to the SE Premium if they wish to add leather seats, satellite navigation and sunroof.
