goEgoNetwork installed EV charging station in Himachal Pradesh

goEgoNetwork a Pune-based EV charging infrastructure start-up has installed its electric vehicle charging facility at Kaza in the Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh making it the world’s highest EV charging station. The charging station is located at Hotel Dayzor.

The company has installed Bharat AC and Dual Socket Type 2 chargers in the Western Himalayas. It has a Make-in-India certification and compliance with ARAI and OCA certification which will cater to all the EV scooters and cars. According to the release, goEgo has collaborated with TVS Motor Company to promote EV infrastructure.

“The adoption of EVs is growing in India, and a strong network of charging stations is required for a rapid transition to electric mobility. Our objective is to provide the best charging experience for everyone who wants to participate in this sustainable change. While we are excited about the installation of the charging station on one of the highest motorable roads, we look forward to installing a lot more in the near future,” said Dheeman Kadam, co-founder and CMO of goEgoNetwork. 

The EV charging station was inaugurated by Mahender Pratap Singh, SDM Kaza and goEgoNetwork’s Maanvi Rawlley and Pratiksha Das, who rode TVS iQube electric scooters from Manali to Kaza.

goEgoNetwork raises $2 million in seed funding for EV charging infrastructure

Last month, the goEgoNetwork had announced that it has raised $2 million in seed funding to expand its electric charging network. The seed round is funded by Bagla Group, Global Innovation Labs and Fintech at ING Bank.

goEgoNetwork Co-Founder and CEO Sayantan Chakraborti said, “The recent investment further reinforces our commitment and dedication towards being India’s only smart electric charger network. We aim to compel the market to switch towards EVs while creating more job opportunities with the best professionals in this greenfield industry.”

Bagla said, “EVs are not just about disrupting the internal combustion engine automobile industry but are part of the larger disruption in energy and transportation, which are witnessing a considerable shift towards green technology solutions.”
