goEgoNetwork raises $2 million in seed funding for EV charging infrastructure 

goEgoNetwork a Pune based startup has raised $2 million in seed funding to expand its electric charging network. The seed round is funded by Bagla Group, Global Innovation Labs and Fintech at ING Bank. Let us now read more about goEgoNetwork raises $2 million funding. 

Bagla said, “EVs are not just about disrupting the internal combustion engine automobile industry but are part of the larger disruption in energy and transportation, which are witnessing a considerable shift towards green technology solutions.”

goEgoNetwork Co-Founder and CEO Sayantan Chakraborti said, “The recent investment further reinforces our commitment and dedication towards being India’s only smart electric charger network. We aim to compel the market to switch towards EVs while creating more job opportunities with the best professionals in this greenfield industry.”

Despite the ongoing pandemic in India many Indian EV manufacturers have managed to raise funding. In 2020, Zenobe Energy, a leading UK company that provides battery storage solutions and EVs infrastructure has announced that it has secured an investment of £150 million from Infracapital an infrastructure equity investment arm of M&G Plc. The funding will be used for the expansion of its grid-scale battery, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.

The Hyderabad based electric vehicle startup Etrio Automobiles Pvt Ltd has also raised Rs 22 crore ($3 million) in a Series A funding round from angel investors led by Janardhan Rao, founder of Triumph Global Group, a Singapore-based international commodity trading house with a consolidated revenue of over $900 million.

Mobility tech electric vehicles startup EVage has also raised an undisclosed amount of funding led by Ola Electric co-founder and senior advisor Anand Shah. EVage is all set to launch it is first ‘Made in India’ structure, a four-wheeler electric delivery van in India.
