Yamaha develops e-scooter for India & Audi e-Tron launches in India on July 22 

A Japanese popular two-wheelers brand Yamaha has started developing a new electric scooter for the Indian market. According to the reports, Yamaha wants to observe India’s EV policy and will wait until its electric vehicles infrastructure like EV charging points, battery swapping stations and it also includes the local battery manufacturing facilities. That will be strong enough to charge up its electric vehicles. For the last 2 years, it has its relevant EV technology in Taiwan. During the Tokyo Motor Show 2019, Yamaha has also shown the E01 e-scooter concept. After that, the manufacturer has also launched an EC-05 electric scooter in the Taiwanese market in partnership with Gogoro.

Its main feature is that its battery is swappable, the swapping technology which helps to save your time to charge an EV. This EV will be available in the Taiwanese market by August 2019. It provides a range of up to 100 km on a single charge and can reach a top speed of 90 kmph.

The Audi e-Tron electric SUV to launch in India on July 22. It will go on sale on July 22 in the domestic market. When the Audi e-Tron electric SUV will compete with the Jaguar I-Pace and Mercedes Benz EQC.

It is expected to have a virtual cockpit digital instrument display, 2 touchscreens, LED headlights, driver assists systems, park assist and many more. We can expect that the electric models come with two electric motors on each axle that can combine 360hp and 561Nm of peak torque in standard Drive mode. It can accelerate the 0-100kph time of 6.6sec and in sport mode, the electric motors develop 408hp and 664Nm.

The Audi e-tron S consists of three electric motors. the sporty SUV reaches 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.it reaches its top speed of 210 km/h. Its battery capacity is 95 kWh battery (86.4 kWh net). The Audi e-tron is expected to come with a price tag of 1.50 crore.

Ola Electric first electric scooter to launch soon in India

Ola Electric’s first electric scooter is showing its interest to supply its upcoming electric scooter to Convergence Energy Services Ltd (CESL). Not only this, there are some other manufacturers too that are in talks with the government entity to get orders from electric two-wheelers manufacturers such as Hero Electric, Kinetic Green Energy, Mahindra Electric Mobility and Power Solutions.

The company is also working on its mega factory in Tamil Nadu which is claimed to be the largest two-wheeler production facility in the world.

Recently, the Ola has unveiled the world’s largest electric two-wheeler charging network ‘Hypercharger Network.’ It has revealed its plans for providing charging infrastructure to its upcoming electric two-wheeler including its electric scooter which will be launched in the coming months. The company will offer inclusive charging infrastructure to its electric vehicles customers which includes high-speed Ola Hyperchargers and the home charger.
