EEA: average CO2 emissions from new cars and new vans in Europe increased in 2018

SEAT and GAS NATURAL FENOSA partner to promote natural gas as vehicle fuel in Spain

SEAT, a member of the Volkswagen Group, and GAS NATURAL FENOSA signed a strategic agreement to promote joint innovation projects and expand the use of natural gas as a vehicle fuel in Spain. In Spain there are currently 50 public stations that supply natural gas, 27 of which belong to GAS NATURAL FENOSA.

Audi Brussels to produce exclusively e-tron quattro SUV, battery packs; A1 production moving to Spain

As of 2018, Audi Brussels will produce exclusively the commercial version of Audi’s e-tron quattro battery-electric SUV ( earlier post ). Audi will transfer production of the Audi A1 from Brussels to Martorell in Spain; in 2014, Audi Brussels produced 115,378 Audi A1 models. The plant will also produce its own battery packs.

EC approves second major battery innovation project; €2.9B (US$3.5B) from 12 member states

The project, called “European Battery Innovation” (EuBatIn) was jointly prepared and notified by Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden.
