BMW Group Launches car sharing service “ReachNow” in Seattle

Following a successful pilot program, BMW Group has launched ReachNow, a free-floating premium car sharing service, in Seattle. The initial fleet of 370 vehicles, including the BMW i3, the BMW 3 Series and the MINI Cooper, will be located on the streets of Seattle for immediate use. Vehicles on-hand at the airport.

Port of Seattle announces partnership for sustainable aviation fuels at Sea-Tac Airport; 10% minimum by 2028, 50% by 2050

The partners will work to meet the specific sustainable aviation fuel timetable and goals approved by the Port of Seattle Commission in December 2017: for a minimum of 10% of sustainable jet fuel to be produced locally from sustainable sources within 10 years, increasing to 50% by 2050.

Port of Seattle partners with Alaska Airlines and Boeing to supply sustainable aviation biofuel at Sea-Tac Airport

The Port of Seattle, Alaska Airlines and Boeing are partnering to move toward powering all flights by all airlines at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with sustainable aviation biofuel. An RFP for the infrastructure study will be issued in the spring of 2016, and the study is expected to be completed by late 2016.

IEA: Electric vehicles posted strong gains in 2016; 2M now in global parc

Gevo joins SFO consortium to advance sustainable aviation fuel (SAF)

Gevo’s ATJ has been used to power commercial flights since 2016. In June 2016, the first two commercial flights using Gevo’s renewable alcohol to jet fuel (ATJ) took place. Alaska Airlines used Gevo’s ATJ to fly from Seattle to San Francisco International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, respectively.
