Malaysia-based Graphene NanoChem’s wholly-owned subsidiary Platinum Nanochem Sdn Bhd has entered into a product development and collaboration agreement with Sync R&D Sdn Bhd jointly to develop a graphene-enhanced lithium-ion battery solution for electric buses under the Electric Bus 1 Malaysia program (EB1M Program).

Proton will manufacture the model at its own plant, and distribute and sell the model under the Proton brand through its sales network in Malaysia. The first model will be a compact passenger car, to be manufactured at the PROTON Tanjung Malim plant from around August 2016.

After a year of ongoing development work in Malaysia, Gevo says it is strategically partnering along the supply chain to provide bio-based isobutanol at a cost-competitive price. Our ambition is to move toward definitive agreements by the second half of 2012 with a target of having a cellulosic plant operational by late 2015 or early 2016.

Mazda Motor Corporation announced that the total production volume of the Mazda3 (known as Mazda Axela in Japan) reached five million units at the end of April 2016. It is also assembled in Malaysia and Vietnam. It is the second Mazda to reach five million units of production, following the Mazda Familia.

Since 2016, Mercedes-Benz has been offering its customers the option of equipping as yet unconnected vehicles from older model series dating back to 2002 with the Mercedes me Adapter. The 500,000 th adapter was activated in Malaysia. More than half a million vehicles worldwide have been equipped with the adapter to date.

Prior to joining Volkswagen, he held senior management posts at Daimler AG in South Africa and Malaysia. Global GHG emissions continue to be dominated by fossil carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions, which however show a slowdown trend since 2012, and were stalled for the third year in a row in 2016. Emissions are increasing in other developing countries: 6% for Indonesia and Malaysia; 9% for Pakistan and 12% for the Philippines.
