Suzuki to partner with Proton in Malaysia; new 2-cylinder 0.8L diesel for compacts in India

Mazda3 global production reaches 5M units

Mazda Motor Corporation announced that the total production volume of the Mazda3 (known as Mazda Axela in Japan) reached five million units at the end of April 2016. It is also assembled in Malaysia and Vietnam. It is the second Mazda to reach five million units of production, following the Mazda Familia.

More than 500,000 Mercedes me Adapters activated

Since 2016, Mercedes-Benz has been offering its customers the option of equipping as yet unconnected vehicles from older model series dating back to 2002 with the Mercedes me Adapter. The 500,000 th adapter was activated in Malaysia. More than half a million vehicles worldwide have been equipped with the adapter to date.

Volkswagen establishes new Sub-Saharan Africa region

Prior to joining Volkswagen, he held senior management posts at Daimler AG in South Africa and Malaysia. Global CO2 emissions stalled for the third year in a row

Global GHG emissions continue to be dominated by fossil carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions, which however show a slowdown trend since 2012, and were stalled for the third year in a row in 2016. Emissions are increasing in other developing countries: 6% for Indonesia and Malaysia; 9% for Pakistan and 12% for the Philippines.
