Ford is making Auto Start-Stop technology standard across the entire lineup of EcoBoost-equipped 2017 F-150 pickups. The 2016 F-150 with 2.7-liter liter EcoBoost engine comes standard with Auto Start-Stop. That offering continues for 2017, with the addition of the technology as standard equipment for all 3.5-liter

Toyota Motor Corporation has reached an agreement with Ford Motor Company to explore collaboration with Livio, a Ford subsidiary acquired in 2013 ( earlier post ), for the implementation of SmartDeviceLink (SDL) technology in future Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Ford SYNC 3. The announcement builds on that earlier collaboration.

In New York yesterday, Ford Motor Company provided a strategic update to investors; the presentation follows a four-month deep dive into Ford’s strategy and business operations led by President and CEO Jim Hackett and Ford’s senior leadership team. By 2019, 100% of Ford’s new US vehicles will be built with connectivity.

The project, funded by the government agency IWT, ran from February 2012 to January 2016 and was a partnership between Ghent University, University of Antwerp, University of Liège and Atlas Copco. An advanced CFD model of a standard air screw compressor used as an expander indicated the most important bottlenecks of the original design.
