9/19/2011: Bought 1993 Plymouth Laser for $300. 9/20/2011: Cleaned car. 9/21/2011: Sold above components to recycling center. 9/21/2011: Sold above components to recycling center. 9/22/2011: Drained Oil, bought special tools, removed remaining portion of cylinder heads. 9/23/2011: Worked at my real job.

Better late than never

I converted my 1992 Toyota pickup to all electric on Sept 2011. I have driven it to work and back 40 miles every day for the past 6 months. I have put over 6000 EV miles on it now. I have continuously been making efficiency tweaks to it. Check out the improvements: Initially 118Amp draw at 50mph.

They shipped in and I took delivery in May 2011. Bought most of the bits for the conversion in December 2010. July 2012: Embarrassing mess. Wasted $$ in battery connectors made of tinned steel and copper mesh. Good lesson: make sure I post online any questions at least a week before I have to make a decision. www.evworks.com.au/.

Winter 2011-2012: Engine Bay and Under-car: The car is now completely gas-less. It has been about 5 months since I posted my first blog about converting my car to electricity. My professional life has kept me busy, but I still have made good progress on my conversion.
