India Releases GHG Report; Fifth Largest Emitter in 2007

India has released a report on its greenhouse gas emissions in 2007, becoming the first “non-Annex I” (i.e. India GHG emissions by sector in 2007 (million tons of CO 2 eq). Net Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from India in 2007 (emissions with land use, land use change and forestry, LULUCF), were 1727.71 million in 2007.

New inventory of black carbon emissions from China finds 2007 levels higher than previously reported

Trillium completes construction of largest hydrogen transit refueling station in North America

The Santa Ana, California hydrogen station, which went live Friday, was jointly developed by Trillium, Air Products, the Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE), Ballard Fuel Systems and New Flyer. Trillium has completed construction of the largest hydrogen transit refueling station in North America.

European Environment Agency Estimates that EU GHG Decreased in 2008 for 4th Consecutive Year

Recent European Environment Agency (EEA) estimates indicate that EU greenhouse gas emissions decreased in 2008 for the fourth consecutive year. Compared to the 2007 official emissions published earlier this year, the annual reduction is estimated to be about 1.3% for the EU-15 and 1.5% for the EU-27. below the 1990 level for the EU-27.
