GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Ted Kulongoski behind the wheel of Nissan’s prototype electric vehicle. Mr. Kulongoski wants to make Oregon the go-to state for electric vehicle production. At a press event on Monday, Oregon’s governor, Ted Kulongoski, was talking up Nissan’s previously announced partnership with the state.

Millions will plug-in their electric vehicles [EV], plug-in hybrids [PHEV] and fuel cell vehicles [FCV] at night when electricity is cheap, then plug-in during the day when energy is expensive and sell those extra electrons at a profit.
