Aker Wade Power Technologies has entered into a licensing agreement with Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) to manufacture and market Level III DC fast chargers for electric vehicles. Max DC output Voltage: 500V. JARI Level 3 DC Connector. Since 2006 it has tested more than 300 battery powered cars in the greater Tokyo area.

Electric trucks created in Washington, Tyne & Wear are today on the roads of Washington DC. Newton was launched in the UK by Smith Electric Vehicles in 2006. Four major US corporations and two utility companies took delivery of the Smith Newton, the largest road-going electric truck in North America.
